Main purpose of the position

  • Security investigator is a key member of the security operations team, responsible for conducting in-depth investigations, gathering intelligence, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate security risks across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, incidents, and allegations ofmisconduct.
  • Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and analyse data to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor internal and external sources for potential threats and emerging risks.
  • Collect and analyse intelligence to identify patterns, trends, and vulnerabilities that may impact the organization's security posture.
  • Assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect assets, employees, and critical infrastructure.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices, incident reporting procedures, and crisis management protocols.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and vigilance throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and investigations. 
  • Coordinate response efforts during security incidents, including conducting initial assessments, activating response teams, and liaising with law enforcement agencies and external stakeholders as necessary
  • Delivers own prescribed outcomes and/or provides support services by using the organisations safety, health and environment systems and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) are highly desirable.

Experience

• At least five (5) years relevant post qualification
  experience in intelligence & investigations.
