QUALITY ENGINEER (x1) - MORUPULE

Main purpose of the position
Develop a Quality Management System, Standards and Procedures and ensure that Quality and Quality Requirements are built into Operations and Maintenance, Engineering / Design Outputs, throughout the Engineering / Design process and life Cycle (Statutory and Non-Statutory) for projects, products, and services.
Ensure that a company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality assurance and control systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing direction to the organisation in terms Quality Excellence and compliance.
- Developing and Implementing Quality Standards
- Developing and Implementing Quality Control Systems
- Monitoring and Analysing Quality Performance
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, equipment, processes, and products comply safety regulations.
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Manage client and customer relationships by using defined systems and procedures.
- Identify the section needs and prepare budget for own area of the organization and conducts analyses on budget progress while working within established systems.
- Identify shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager.
- Develop procedures for an area within the organization, then monitors the implementation of those procedures to improve power plant performance of equipment and systems.
- Deliver assigned projects by working within an established program management plan.
- Manage the performance of direct reports by working within performance management systems for realisation of organisational objectives.
- Build own capabilities and develop the capabilities of direct reports by working within existing development framework; provides specialized training or coaching in area of expertise to direct reports.
- Operate in accordance with policies and procedures, while performing routine safety checks on equipment and workspace.
Qualifications
- A recognised Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Quality Engineering or Equivalent.
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certification will be an added advantage
- Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board
Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years relevant post qualification experience, of which two (2) years should have been in quality engineering, Quality assurance or a similar role.
