 In its pursuit to become a Competitive Commercial Power Utility within the Region, Botswana Power Corporation invites applications from suitably qualified, highly energetic, dynamic, result oriented, innovative, and customer focused individuals, who believe they can be part of a great team that delivers power to Botswana to apply for the below listed position not later than 29th November 2024.  

Main purpose of the position

Plan, develop, implement and promote activities and programs that enhance overall employee engagement, communication and relations while overseeing the compliance of company employment policies and practices with relevant employment regulations

Job Responsibilities

Create timely and reliable Industrial and Employee Relations dashboards for Industrial and Employee relations Manager, HR Business partners and line management. 

Provide guidance and counsel to employees on employee relations issues and workplace practice

Receive, evaluate and advice on the appropriate response to employee concerns.

Conduct investigations of complaints and recommend corrective actions.

Review and advise Line Management on employee grievance and disciplinary processes.

Contribute to the development of IR Policies and Procedures (drafting of policies & procedures).
Advises employees on the interpretation and application of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Advises and trains employees on code of conduct and employee relations policies.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources or related field. 

Professional membership from a credible institution will be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum five 5) years relevant post qualification experience. 

Of the above, at least three (3) years should have been in the Industrial and Employee Relations area.

Experience and knowledge of Human Resources best practices will be added advantage
